Product DetailsDIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES.
The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Committee was appointed to advise the British Government on how best to commemorate the life and work of Diana, Princess of Wales.
The recommendations of the committee are:
1. Developing community children's nursing teams to support children with life-threatening and life-limiting illnesses and their families in their own homes;
2. An award in secondary schools to celebrate and support the achievements of young people who make an outstanding contribution to the community;
3. Subject to public consultation, a memorial in Kensington Gardens, London;
4. And a commemorative, legal tender coin.
Proceeds from the sales of this commemorative coin will go towards the cost of the memorials recommended by the committee. This specific coin from my personal collection is in very good condition. The coin has never been removed from its protective packing.
My wife and me we are missionaries in the Philippines and are living in one of the poorest city of the country. We do children's mission work in our village within the city and at an elementary school. The proceeds of my coin therefore will go towards our mission ministry to help poor children. The price is based on information taken from a internet side in Great Britain and the official side of the coin. We hope that the coin may fetch even more as our advise amount as this is a very unique coin in the Philippines. Help us to help poor children.
No-one who knew Diana will ever forget her. Time is too slow for those who wait,
Millions of others who have never met her, but Too swift for those who fear,
felt they knew her, will remember her. Too long for those who grieve,
Her Majesty the Queen September 1997 Too short for those who rejoice
But for those who love, time is eternity.
The unique, the complex, the extraordinary and
irreplacable Diana, whose beauty both internal and
external will never be extinguished from our minds.
Charles, 9th Earl Spencer. September 1997
